Police in Mazabuka District in Southern Province have arrested and charged a 20 year old man of Zambia Compound for murder after stabbing his wife and his friend's wife on suspicions of infidelity.
Zambia Police Spokesperson RAE HAMOONGA says the suspect found his 15 year old wife with another man in a compromising manner and upon seeing them, the man ran away.
Mr. HAMOONGA says the suspect stabbed his wife who later died at Mazabuka General Hospital in the morning on 9th November, 2022.
He says the suspect then went to his friend's house but did not find him hence ended up stabbing his wife.
Mr. HAMOONGA says the second victim is still admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of Mazabuka General Hospital and her condition is stable.
He says the suspect is in Police in custody and has been charged with unlawful wounding and murder.
