A 28-YEAR-old man of Lusaka's Chalala area has died on the spot in an accident that occurred in the early hours of today at the junction of Given Lubinda and Tokyo way.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga has confirmed the incident in a statement made available to NKANI.
He said the accident happened when the driver failed to stop at the junction due to excessive speed and crossed Tokyo way where he hit into a concrete block for Lusaka water and sewerage and rested there
"Details are around 05:00 hours M' Mukoma Muwemba driving Nissan fair lady from the direction of south to the north hit into a junction of Given Lubinda and Tokyo way where the deceased sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot and his car is excessively damaged," he said.
Mr. Hamoonga said the body of the deceased has been deposited in the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) mortuary awaiting post mortem and burial.
