A 14-year-old girl of Nakonde has been arrested by police after
she beat her 26-year old husband to death last Sunday.
Using a stick as a weapon, Astridah Namukonda of Ifina Village
is said to have whipped the life out of Cracious Sinkala after learning of his
extramarital affair with another woman.
As if that was enough, the enraged Astridah also threatened to
send her husband's mother who stayed near the couple to an early grave.
The victim died at Nakonde District Hospital from a head injury
and a bleeding nose.
The couple had been married since 2019 and had a two-year-old
daughter.
The police have charged the suspect with murder and she is
awaiting trial.
Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Paul Achiume confirmed the
incident in a statement.
