"Seven Mistakes I Made in Real Estate" - Mubita C. Nawa

I have been lucky to be given a third and a fourth and sometimes a fifth chance. I think I am just stubborn. But it does not always work that way. Here are seven #mistakes I wish I could have avoided. 1. Not Buying Land Early I was there when people were buying land in MEANWOOD Ibex but I did not buy. I was too busy. I ignored Chalala, New Kasama, Garden House and many other areas. # 2. Selling the Little I had I once sold land to go study for my masters degree. Don’t judge me but I should have kept that land. 3. Having Bad Priorities I had a plot in MEANWOOD Ndeke. We needed to pay salaries for our workers in 2010. I sold a plot to make salaries. Imagine. Who does that? 4. Listening to Wrong People I bought a plot in Limulunga along Mongu Limulunga road. I see it now and I cry. After paying for it I was told by some close family member that those owners were witches. I asked for my money back. And they gave it to me. I see the plot now and I cry. 5. Loving Luxury more than Investments Many of you like me in those days love a good life. You forget that land is finishing. 6. Anione Anione I was caught in the race to show the Jonses who I was. In the process I forgot who I was. Don’t be in a race with anyone. Race yourself instead. 7. Poor Vision I never knew how important land was. Land and houses are key to wealth creation. Conclusion. I am in a hurry to reclaim lost time and lost territory, literally. I invite you to join me. By Mubita C. NawaI have been lucky to be given a third and a fourth and sometimes a fifth chance. I think I am just stubborn. But it does not always work that way.
