New office launch signals growth and impact for World Vision, VisionFund Zambia
WORLD Vision Zambia and VisionFund Zambia are celebrating the opening of their new office in Meanwood Ibex Hill, Lusaka, marking a significant milestone in their commitment to serving vulnerable children and families.
The new office will house both World Vision Zambia and VisionFund Zambia, fostering closer collaboration and enabling more efficient and effective service delivery
Minister of Justice, Princess Kasune, hailed the new office as a beacon of hope and an indication to World Vision’s long-standing dedication to uplifting vulnerable communities.
“This occasion signifies not only the growth of an organisation that has served the vulnerable in our communities for 43 years but also the deepening of a shared commitment to creating a Zambia where every child can thrive, grow, and reach their God-given potential,” she said.
Kasune also highlighted her personal history with World Vision, noting its transformative work in central province.
"In Central Province, where I have worked closely with World Vision over the years, I have seen the transformation that partnerships can bring. Initiatives like the Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration have not only revitalised the land but also provided more sustainable livelihoods,” she added.
She underscored the importance of community-driven programmes that empower families, stressing that these efforts are “lifelines that change the futures of families.”
The Minister reaffirmed government's commitment to partnering with organisations like World Vision in pursuit of a more equitable and prosperous nation.
“Partnerships between the government, civil society, and faith-based organisations like World Vision are crucial in ensuring that development reaches every corner of our country.”
World Vision Zambia National Director Marc Nosbach celebrated the launch as a pivotal moment, emphasising the shared dedication to Zambia’s children.
“This building embodies our steadfast dedication to transforming the lives of Zambia's most vulnerable children,” he said.
Nosbach added that the new office will enhance operational efficiency by housing multiple teams, facilitating stronger collaboration for their united vision to uplift and empower communities.
He emphasised the goal of positively impacting the lives of 1.5 million children by 2025,.
"Together, we are determined to bring measurable impact to the lives of Zambia’s children, helping them experience the fullness of life they deserve."
World Vision International President Andrew Morley also underscored the organisation’s mission to empower families.
“We are helping children build a strong foundation for the future, even amidst difficult circumstances," Morley said.
He noted that VisionFund Zambia’s role in providing small loans has been instrumental in enabling families to gain financial independence and resilience, supporting the mission beyond immediate needs and into sustainable livelihood creation.
"Together, we share a vision of a Zambia where every child can thrive, every family can prosper, and every community can be resilient," he said.
The new infrastructure is expected to serve as a hub for innovation, collaboration, and continued community-centered solutions.
Nosbach encouraged staff to see the new workspace as a “launchpad” for expanding their reach and impact, aiming to accelerate transformation in the lives of children and families across.
