Zambia Army Officer Captain Wilfred Kazhingu has made
history by becoming the first Zambian to graduate from the Armour Basic
Officers Leader Course (ABOLC) and emerging as top allied student.
The 19-week
programme, conducted by the United States Army Armour School at the Maneuver
Centre of Excellence (MCOE), aimed to train Armour officers to become versatile
and resilient leaders capable of guiding soldiers in diverse military
operations as part of the Armour Brigade Combat Team.
Throughout the course, officers were rigorously trained and tested on various Armour and Cavalry Equipment, with Captain Kazhingu's exceptional performance marking a significant achievement for both himself and the Zambian Defence Force.
